Feldenkrais Classes on Zoom
Relax, Balance and Strengthen from the Comfort of Home

Awakening Movements Feldenkrais and Physical Therapy announces two weekly Zoom classes including relaxing, balancing and strengthening. Feldenkrais practitioner and physical therapist Lisa Ponichter-Stanley will lead the classes Mondays at 6 p.m. and Wednesdays at 11 a.m. Attendees will receive links from which they can watch and repeat the class as many times as they want afterward.
“These are gently verbally guided classes where you are lying down in the comfort and safety of your own home. Most lessons are lying down on the floor or mattress, but some are done sitting,” Ponichter-Stanley says. “People report increased flexibility, improved posture without the effort, better balance, more ability to do what they want with greater ease, plus the benefit of calming the nervous system. People who have been enjoying these classes say that it’s their favorite time of the week, like a movement meditation but with the benefits of helping you learn how to move better. Feldenkrais is about clarifying relationships in your body, through your bones and movement patterns. We are all creatures of habit and get ourselves into movement ruts.”
