Holiday Mindfulness
Tips to Maintain Energy and Health
![]() |
What, another thing to do this month? Who has time? During the busy seasons of life, we tend to mark off “to do” lists but forget to take care of our bodies except for sleep, which happens when they drop into bed after an exhausting day.
Let’s take a moment to think about what we really want from this month: energy, focus and health to enjoy our families, be productive and be able to serve and give within our communities. Will burning the candle at both ends achieve those goals?
Begin each day with a few minutes to enjoy the quiet and think. Write or say out loud what it is you are grateful for. This immediately improves your mood. Then schedule at least 20 minutes of intentional self-care each day.
Ideas: prep a salad or a green smoothie to nourish your body with good fuel, take time to eat consistent meals, spend that time stretching tired muscles, read a few pages of an inspiring book, take a hot bath to calm mind and body. Little actions can have big effects.
Our choices always effect our future.
