Mary E. Miller-Wilson |
Mary E. Miller-Wilson ANP-BC – IFM Certified Practitioner has relocated from Detroit back to the greater Rochester area.
Trained at Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Functional Medicine under the direction of Dr. Mark R. Hyman and certified in functional medicine by the Institute of Functional Medicine, Mary E. Miller-Wilson, adult nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience, has opened her own practice. Hormones and Health specializes in Bio-identical hormones for men and women, Thyroid optimization, Chronic Fatigue, Detoxification and Gut restoration, to name a few.
“Over the last 12 years my approach to health has always been based on a melding of functional medicine and anti-aging medicine, looking for the underlying root cause of disease and assisting patients in being proactive about their health,” Miller-Wilson says. “My understanding of functional medicine as unique and personalized allows me to assess all aspects of a patient’s lifestyle: genetics, environment, emotions, beliefs and social relationships, all of which directly influence health and disease."
Hormones and Health will be a tele-health-based practice offering tele-health consultations two days per week as well as offering in-person visits twice a month. This model allows Miller-Wilson to continue to share her valuable knowledge and experience gleaned from seeing the country’s most challenging cases during her three-year training at the renowned Cleveland Clinic as well as in various private settings over the years. She worked directly with Dr. Mark Hyman, who has dedicated his career to the whole-systems approach known as Functional Medicine.
Having a primarily based tele-health practice allows Miller-Wilson to provide more patients in more geographic locations with her knowledge as well as in person visit availability. She is honored to have this opportunity to continue offering her experience and skills and is eager to help as many patients as possible.
