Summer-Long Trail Challenge Program at the Metroparks
![]() |
This year the Metroparks have announced a way to get active and experience the Metroparks trails: by participating in the Metroparks Trail Challenge. The Trail Challenge allows you to log miles, enjoy the parks and meet trail goals.
The Trail Challenge began on May 1 and will run to September 30. Register now, or as late as September 23, set a trail goal and visit any Metropark trails to hike, bike, run, roll or paddle to meet the goal. Log miles on the online leaderboard and add selfies of trail adventures. When you visit all 13 parks and hit a designated Challenge Trail in each, you’ll earn additional incentives.
These specific trails have a signage kiosk along them, where you take a selfie to upload with your miles to the leaderboard. Each Challenge Trail visited is rewarded with a special badge on the online leaderboard. Earn three badges to receive a custom Metroparks insulated lunch bag.
Earn all 13 badges to receive a 2024 Metroparks Annual Vehicle Pass to keep exploring the trails for another year.
The cost to participate is $25 per person ages 5 and up. For more information or to register, call Hilary Simmet at 810-494-6037, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or visit Metroparks.com/trailchallenge.
