Learn to Bake Healthy Breads
Swartz Creek Classes Resume this Fall
|Fresh from the oven!|
Swartz Creek's Westwind Farm will resume their popular Sustainable Bread Baking classes on October 2, 9, 16 and again on November 20. All classes run from 1-4 pm.
"We always make 2 contrasting types of breads," says Linda Purdy of Westwind Farm. "This approach shows the commonalities that help attendees understand the principles of bread-making. We try to take the intimidation out of making bread for those who are new to it, provide tips with those who are experienced and share our newest discoveries."
Serving the community for 21 years, Westwind Farm is a continuation of the Purdy's former business, Westwind Milling Co. They have been holding bread baking classes for 9 years.
"In holding these classes," adds Purdy, "we are also able to introduce people to our freshly milled flour and show how it bakes flavorful, healthy breads and baked goods."
Bread classes are $30 each and Pastry Day is $35.
Westwind Farm is located at 11487 Reid Rd., Swartz Creek. For more information or to RSVP, call 810 701-8151 or visit their website: WestwindMilling.com.
