Feldenkrais and Physical Therapy Practitioner Relocates to Updated Building

Natural Awakenings News: Feldenkrais and Physical Therapy Practitioner Relocates to Updated Building
Lisa Ponichter-Stanley

Still staying in Royal Oak, physical therapist Lisa Ponichter-Stanley is announcing the move and reopening of her physical therapy and Feldenkrais movement practice as of July 19. After 6 1/2 years, she wanted to move to a quieter, more updated building while remaining close to her previous location.

“Our new location is bright, sleek and super clean with a cozy atmosphere. It offers close parking which is professionally maintained and is close to both I-75 and I-696 freeways," she says. “The new therapy room is quiet and private."

Awareness Through Movement Feldenkrais group classes are still offered online on Mondays at 6 p.m. and Wednesdays at 11 a.m. In-person group classes will be considered at some point. For in-person private sessions, Medicare and Blue Cross insurances are accepted.

Ponichter-Stanley has been in practice since 2001, with a focus on Feldenkrais as a main form of treatment. She has seen how working with the brain and nervous system in gentle and strategic ways can create lasting changes in pain and improvements in movement and well-being.

Awakening Movements is now located at 1710 12 Mile Rd., Royal Oak. For more information, call Lisa Ponichter-Stanley at 248-321-0358 or email her directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
