Michigan Chef Publishes Vegan Dessert Cookbook

Chef Valerie Wilson, also known as Chef Val and Macro Val, has come out with her sixth cookbook, Simply Healthy Scrumptious Desserts. The cookbook is a collection of some of her best desserts from her cooking classes, all vegan, sugar-free and whole foods, no refined sugars and no refined flours, with gluten-free options.
“Sweet potato brownie with aduki fudge frosting, lemon meringue pie, peanut butter aquafaba ice cream and fig truffles are just some of the scrumptious recipes in the cookbook. Yes, you can have your desserts and be healthy too,” Wilson says.
Wilson has been in the food industry since 1985. Having lived a vegan, macrobiotic lifestyle since 1993, she started teaching cooking classes in 1997. She still teaches in southeastern Michigan and elsewhere via Zoom and DVD, hosts Real Food with Chef Val, her online radio show, twice a month and offers lifestyle counseling and personal chef services.
