Proper sleep natural immunity
Sleep is important for the immune system to function properly. During waking hours the elimination system, digestive system and muscle skeletal systems are constantly working. Adults require 6-9 hours of sleep per nights. Children require 10- 12 hours sleep per night.
Vitamin A
Natural killer helper cells increase resistance and are decreased during an infection. Without sufficient amounts of vitamin A, vision can be decreased.
Vitamin C
Increases resistance to viruses, bacteria and antibody responses. Stress, infections, and tobacco decrease vitamin C.
Vitamin D
Has a direct effect on natural killer cells. It help protect against auto- immune diseases, i.e. juvenile diabetes, multiple sclerosis, asthma and rheumatoid arthritis.
