Vince & Joe's Gourmet Market
Giving Back to the Community
![]() |
Thanks to the generous donations of customers during April 2023, and the proceeds from sales of Emma’s Hope sauces throughout 2022; Vince & Joe’s Gourmet Market presented a check Monday, May 22 to Hope Network Center for $17,500 in support of Autism Awareness as part of its "Emma’s Hope" campaign.
Since 2018 the Vitale family has given back to this organization that helps so many. Co-owner Joe Vitale’s granddaughter Emma, 13, has Autism and the family knows first-hand how much the Hope Network does for families across Michigan. Hope Network has touched the lives of more than 34,000 with Autism just in Michigan alone. Their mission is to help families navigate mental health for as young as 18 months and up to 21 years old, by providing evaluations, personalized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, support and independence services.
Emma’s Hope sauces - Marinara, Meat, Alfredo and Pesto - have been the perfect choice for the campaign raising more than $50,000 to date. Hope Network is one of Michigan’s largest nonprofits supporting Autism services and has former NFL Detroit Lions kicker, Eddie Murray, as Hope Network’s Director of Donor Community Relations. Each year Vince & Joe’s is proud to partner with Eddie Murray and the Hope Network.
On April 24, the owners of Vince & Joe’s also presented a check for $55,000 to Kimberly Blackmon and George Allen with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, ALSAC. This donation will support St. Jude’s mission of research, treatment and prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases.
For more than a decade Vince & Joe’s has been supporting St. Jude’s mission during its anniversary week with the “Bread, the Staff of Life” campaign. Donations come from 50 percent of one week of sales of the Vince & Joe’s house-made Italian breads, along with customer donations at the register. Vince & Joe’s reusable bags have the St. Jude logo on them and a portion of all sales for both the reusable shopping bag and the insulated food bag goes to St. Jude as well.
As of 2023 and this donation, Vince & Joe’s has donated over $150,000 to St. Jude’s. This year’s total donation of $55,000, is above and beyond any donation made thus far. Vince & Joe’s employees and the Vitale family are very proud and thrilled with this year’s efforts. This campaign is one the whole company looks forward to doing each fall.
Hope Network and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are just two of the organizations Vince & Joe’s supports throughout the year as a way of giving back to the community. Celebrating 40 years in 2023, and with two locations–in Clinton Township and Shelby Township–Vince & Joe’s Gourmet Market customers can experience a tradition of excellence and find only the best produce, meats, cheeses, wine, seafood, baked goods, imported and prepared foods each time they visit.
